And the Grammy goes to . . . Caroline Robert!!!

Not only do the French give us some of the tastiest food on the planet and make us all jealous with their ability to make the most mundane of sentences sound romantic and sexy, but they also, apparently, make brilliant Grammy-Winning graphic designers! We’d like to send a Texas-Sized félicitations to Madame Caroline Robert, who is the creative genius behind Arcade Fire’s “The Suburbs / Scenes From The Suburbs Deluxe Edition,” and was duly awarded the coveted Grammy Award for Best Recording Package, last Sunday. This beautiful piece features a re-release of last year’s Grammy Winner for Album of the year, “The Suburbs” with the addition of two new tracks (Speaking In Tongues and Culture War), “Scenes From The Suburbs” (a film directed by Spike Jonze), and a 76 page booklet packed full of artsy photos of our very own Austin, Texas. So, it’s kind of a win for Austin, too.

If you haven’t picked up a copy of this CD or have otherwise somehow not seen Caroline’s fabulous designs, please check out her site at Caroline-Robert.com. And, help us keep printed packaging alive in the digital age: run out to a real-life record store (yes, one that requires that you drive to it, get out of the car, walk in and physically make a face-to-face money transaction), and get your copy of the CD, TODAY!!!
